Merge Images Online

Combine photos, screenshots or scans into one image, side by side or stacked from top to bottom. The images line up at the same height or width with no blank edges, and the merged picture downloads as a JPG, PNG or WebP.

Merge pictures without the hassle

No stretching, no blank edges

Side by side, every image is scaled to the height of the smallest; stacked, to the width of the narrowest. Nothing is enlarged, so the merged picture stays sharp.

Order and spacing in view

The preview redraws as you reorder the images, add space between them or switch direction, and shows the exact size of the merged picture.

Stays on your device

Your browser merges the images on your computer or phone. They are never uploaded, and there is no account to create.

Combine images side by side or top to bottom

Side by side puts the images in one row: a before-and-after pair, two outfits to compare, or a product from several angles. Top to bottom stacks them in one column, which suits screenshots of a long chat or web page, the steps of a recipe or the pages of a receipt. Images are merged in the order you chose them, and the numbered thumbnails under the preview show that order.

Stitch screenshots into one long image

Choose the screenshots in reading order and select Top to bottom. Screenshots from the same phone share one width, so they join at full resolution into a single tall picture. Leave Spacing at 0 for one seamless scroll, or add a few pixels to set each screenshot apart. PNG keeps the text sharp.

Same height or original size

Same height, or Same width when stacking, scales larger images down to match the smallest one, so the edges line up and no background shows around them. Images are never enlarged, which keeps every part of the merged picture as sharp as its source. Original size keeps each image at its own pixel size, so a small image stays small next to a large one. Choose Top, Center or Bottom (Left, Center or Right when stacking) to line them up; the empty space takes the background color.

Spacing, background and order

Spacing adds a gap between neighboring images, measured in pixels of the merged picture, while the outer edges stay flush. The gap and any empty space use the background color, white unless you pick another. To change the order, use the arrows on each thumbnail, drag the thumbnails on a computer, or remove an image with ×. Add images brings in more, up to 20 in all.

JPG, PNG or WebP

The merged picture starts in the format of your first image, and you can switch before downloading. JPG gives compact files for photos, PNG keeps text, screenshots and graphics crisp, and WebP makes small files for websites and apps. Transparent areas are filled with the background color. The download is named after the first image, so beach.jpg becomes beach-imagenow.jpg, and it is a new file without camera or location data.

Very large merged images

Many full-size photos side by side can make a picture tens of thousands of pixels wide, and its exact size is shown as you work. If it is larger than your browser can create, the page says so next to the download button and offers the largest size that works. A WebP image can be up to 16,383 pixels on each side, so a longer picture downloads as a JPG or PNG.

Grids, PDFs and layers

To arrange photos in rows and columns or in a template with a title, use the Collage maker. To keep each image on its own page of one document, use Image to PDF. To place one image on top of another, such as a logo on a photo, use Overlay images.

Frequently asked questions

How do I merge two images into one?

Choose both images above. They appear side by side straight away, at the same height. Select Top to bottom to stack them instead, then select Download. Up to 20 images merge the same way.

How do I put two pictures side by side without stretching them?

Keep Same height selected. The taller picture is scaled down to the height of the shorter one with its proportions kept, so neither is stretched or cropped and no white bars appear.

How do I stitch screenshots together vertically?

Choose the screenshots in reading order and select Top to bottom. Screenshots from the same phone share one width, so they stack into one tall image at full resolution. Use the arrows to fix the order, and download a PNG to keep the text sharp.

Will merging images reduce their quality?

Images are only ever scaled down, to match the smallest one when Same height or Same width is selected, and never enlarged. Choose Original size to keep every image at full resolution. PNG saves the merged picture exactly as shown; JPG and WebP make smaller files at high quality.

How many images can I merge at once?

Up to 20 JPG, PNG or WebP images, each up to 25 MB.

Can I add a border or space between the images?

Yes. Spacing adds a gap between the images, and Background sets its color. The outer edges stay flush with the pictures.

Can I combine images into a grid or a PDF?

This page joins images in one row or one column. For a grid or a template, use the Collage maker. To put each image on its own page of one PDF, use Image to PDF.

Are my images uploaded?

No. Your browser merges the images on your device, so they never leave the page. Refreshing the page or selecting Start over clears them.
