How image processing works

The public ImageNow image tools process supported files locally in your browser. The images you select and the files created by the tools are not uploaded to ImageNow servers. The tool's working session ends when you close or refresh the page; your original files and any results you have downloaded remain on your device.

The public tools can be used without creating an account or providing payment details.

Website requests and support messages

The following information is involved in visiting the website or contacting us:

How we use information

We use this information to deliver the website, keep the service secure, diagnose errors, and respond to messages you send us.

Optional website analytics

With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages people visit, how they find ImageNow, and how the website is used. Google receives information such as the page address and title, referring website, browser and device details, visit times, and cookie identifiers. Your browser also sends Google its IP address as part of the connection; Google uses it to derive approximate location information.

Analytics starts only after you select “Allow analytics.” Leaving the choice unanswered, closing the notice, or selecting “Reject analytics” keeps it off. Your choice does not affect the image tools. Images, image contents, and the names of files you select or download stay outside our analytics. We remove URL query strings and fragments from the page and referrer addresses sent by our integration.

Cookies and your analytics choice

After you allow analytics, Google uses first-party cookies named imagenow_ga and imagenow_ga_TB65D8Q8LZ to distinguish visits and sessions. We set these cookies for up to 180 days. We also save your choice in your browser’s local storage for 180 days, so that you do not have to choose on every page. This preference is saved whether you accept or reject analytics.

You can use “Cookie settings” in the footer at any time to change your choice. Rejecting analytics stops future collection and clears this integration’s analytics cookies in your browser. It does not erase information already sent to Google. Clearing your browser’s site data also clears your saved preference.

Service providers and retention

Cloudflare hosts ImageNow and processes technical request data to deliver and protect the website. Its performance monitoring also measures page-load times and browser performance to help diagnose website delivery problems, without using analytics cookies. If you contact us by email, email providers process the information needed to deliver your message. When you allow Google Analytics, Google processes the analytics data described above, including on servers outside your country. See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy, Google’s Privacy Policy, and how Google uses information from partner sites.

We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for operations, security, legal obligations, or the purpose for which it was collected. Files processed locally by the public image tools are not retained by ImageNow.

Your choices and rights

You choose which details to include in a support message. A tool URL, browser, file format and size, and a description of the problem are useful starting points; keep private images on your device. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal information. Send privacy requests to [email protected].

Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the service changes. The date above shows the latest revision. If you have a privacy question or request, email [email protected].
